Kroger closed the store in 2008, and the property was acquired by Revival Center Ministries International.
The church announced plans to renovate the building to become its new home and entered a land contract with the previous owner.

But Revival Center sold the property last month to SugarCreek for $215,000, according to Montgomery County real estate records.
The city of Dayton received an application requesting commercial zoning permission to occupy the space as a warehouse or indoor storage facility, city records show.
The city also received a commercial building application to remodel the property to add an overhead door at the south end of a wall.
SugarCreek employs 2,000 workers in six manufacturing facilities in Dayton (1241 N. Gettysburg Ave.), Washington Court House, Cincinnati, Indiana and Kansas, the company said.
“SugarCreek continues to be an anchoring presence and good corporate citizen in West Dayton,” said Ford Weber, Dayton’s director of economic development. “We are encouraged by their continued investment.”
