Sunny and warm again today, with chance of afternoon rain

Today we will start out mostly sunny, but will gradually see more clouds and higher chances of some showers and possibly thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

The NWS predicted that storm chances will peak around 5 p.m., then trail off into tonight, which will be partly cloudy but quiet.

Temperatures will rise to around 83 degrees today, then fall to around 63 degrees overnight.

Tomorrow, the NWS predicted very similar weather, with mostly sunny skies and a slight chance of rain and storms in the afternoon, before tapering off into a partly cloudy night.

Temperatures will be warmer, though, with highs reaching up near 89 degrees, then dropping to around 71 degrees at night.

On Saturday, we will start out mostly cloudy, with chances of showers and thunderstorms rapidly rising during the morning. By the afternoon, showers and storms are likely, with temperatures near 88 degrees.

Those storms are expected to continue into Saturday night, with chances lessening but not going away after 11 p.m. Low temperatures will fall to around 70 degrees.
