Today we will start out sunny, but will see a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon that will largely disappear by nightfall, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. The night sky will be mostly clear tonight.

During the day, temperatures will rise to around 80 degrees, and drop overnight to around 59 degrees.

Tomorrow, we will again see a sunny start with a slight chance of rain and storms in the afternoon, followed by a mostly clear night.

The main difference is it will be slightly warmer, with temperatures reaching around 83 degrees during the day and falling to around 64 degrees overnight.

Friday will bring a higher chance of rain, though not huge ones.

While we will start with a very low chance in the morning, chances will gradually rise to around 40 percent around 5 p.m., with a chance for both showers and thunderstorms.

Those chances will trail off as night falls, though they won’t quite go away as we go into the weekend.

Otherwise, on Friday skies will be sunny, and it will be even warmer, with temperatures rising to around 88 degrees, and only falling to around 71 degrees on a cloudy Friday night.
