Sunny, warm Saturday; Slight chance for afternoon rain

We will have a sunny and warm day today, with temperatures climbing to around 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

We will see a slight chance of rain showers and storms that will start to creep upwards during the afternoon, and will continue to slowly rise through the night, reaching just shy of a 40 percent chance of rain by dawn tomorrow.

Otherwise, overnight it will be mostly cloudy, and temperatures will dip down to around 67 degrees.

Tomorrow, chances of showers and thunderstorms will continue to climb, with storms and showers becoming likely in the early afternoon. Rain chances are expected to fall off in the evening and into the overnight hours.

During the day, temperatures will rise to around 84 degrees, then fall to around 63 degrees at night.

By Monday morning, we will see mostly sunny skies, with high temperatures reaching near 84 degrees.

Monday night will also be mostly clear as temperatures fall to around 62 degrees.
