Suspect gets away with lotto scratch-offs, cigarettes in Dayton convenience store break-in

A suspect reportedly got away with cartons of cigarettes and lottery scratch-off tickets after breaking into the Mini Mart in Dayton Sunday.

Police responded to the convenience store located at 1117 N. Main St. for a burglary alarm around 1:30 a.m., according to a Dayton police report.

According to the report, surveillance video showed the suspect throw an asphalt stone through the front glass door and climbed through the opening.

The suspect then took a plastic bag and filled it with approximately 15 cartons of cigarettes and several lottery scratch-off tickets before fleeing the scene through the glass door, the report stated.

The suspect is described as a medium-build male between 20 to 40 years old. He was wearing a green t-shirt, blue stone-washed jeans, a tan Carhartt knit cap, black sneakers with white soles and glasses.
