Springfield police Lt. Matthew Buynak said the car carrying two males rammed a marshals vehicle just before 5 p.m. after the agents tried to serve a warrant on Cedar Street.
The marshals agent pursued the vehicle, which crashed in the 800 block of East Cecil Street.
One of the two males ran from the crash, but was apprehended on Sherman Avenue. Lt. Buynak said that male had been sought on a local warrant as well. He was being questioned Tuesday evening.
The other ran into the woods and has eluded capture.
