ATF agents search Dayton house for suspected stolen guns

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with search warrant in hand, entered a house that was part of an investigation into stolen guns Tuesday night in Dayton.

OTHER LOCAL NEWS: Montgomery County OKs higher sales tax

SWAT, police officers and ATF agents surrounded the house in the 2600 block of McCall Street for several hours investigating the suspected stolen guns.

As many as five individuals were escorted from the residence in handcuffs. Police told us they were detained for questioning.

A supervisory agent with the bureau would not release a statement about the investigation Tuesday.

OTHER LOCAL NEWS: Charges filed in double-homicide case

It’s not yet known if weapons were found.

No information was made available about the five individuals who were removed from the house in handcuffs.

Callers to our newsroom said bullhorns were used to communicate with the people in the house.
