1 taken to hospital after rollover crash in Wayne County, Indiana

A 22-year-old man was taken to the hospital Friday morning following a crash in the area of North U.S. 35 and Brooks Road, Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter said.

Officers responded the scene around 8:40 a.m. where they found a 2003 Chevy overturned in a ditch.

The driver, Clayton Schnitker, of Connersville, Ind., was pulled from the vehicle.

The vehicle was traveling southeast on U.S. 35 when Schnitker traveled off the west side of the road, Retter said. The vehicle struck a driveway culvert, went airborne, then continued south and overturned after landing.

Schnitker was treated at the scene by Red Line EMS and Reid EMS, then transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
