A store employee said the leak was in the store’s food service area, but no official word has come from the fire department or store at this point in time. The store manager’s office said any comment on the matter would have to come from their corporate headquarters.
A customer’s report of the smell of natural gas at the store shortly before 11 a.m. today, Oct. 30, caused the evacuation of the store as a precautionary measure.
Sugarcreek Twp. firefighters responded to investigate the leak. They could not be reached for further information at this time.
