2 hospitalized, U.S. 35 West reopened after crash in Greene County

UPDATE @ 11:05 a.m.: 

Two drivers have been transported to an area hospital after a pickup truck crashed into the back of a semitrailer on westbound U.S. 35 in Greene County Friday morning.

State troopers reopened the right lane of westbound U.S. 35 around 11 a.m. after a nearly two-hour closure. The left lane remains temporarily blocked, according to our crew.

A Ford F350 crashed into the back of a stopped semi at the intersection of U.S. 35 and Trebein Road, according to state troopers.

Both drivers were transported to Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck will be cited for failure to allow proper distance, according to investigators.

FIRST REPORT

The westbound lanes of U.S. 35 are shut down near Trebein Road following a crash reportedly involving three vehicles, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported around 9:20 a.m. and involves two semitrailers and one other truck, according to initial reports.
