Investigators found more than $38,000, about $22,000 worth of heroin and smaller amounts of marijuana, crack cocaine and pills that belong to Jackson, police said.
Someone close to Top of the Line Barber and Beauty Shop at 2836 Salem Avenue saw what he thought was suspicious activity behind the shop and called police. Officers responded and pulled over Jackson’s vehicle for illegal window tint as he drove towards Parkhill Drive.
The officers smelled marijuana, and Jackson admitted to them that he sells it to make ends meet, police said. Jackson was arrested and questioned by police while investigators obtained a search warrant for the barber shop.
During a search of Jackson’s booth and the basement at the barber shop, officers found more marijuana, heroin, a handgun and a digital scale.
