Passing showers, possible storm overnight; more rain arrives for Mother’s Day

Overnight: It will be mostly cloudy with a final line of showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Localized heavy rain and gusty winds are possible, though winds will decrease with temperatures dipping into the upper 50s during the overnight hours. It will dry out by morning from northwest to southeast.

Friday: There is a slight chance of predawn showers before clouds break for the rest of the day. Cooler air will filter in, with highs only reaching the upper 60s. It will be breezy with decreasing clouds.

Saturday: After a cool start to the weekend, it will be nice with some sunshine early before more clouds arrive. Highs will reach the middle to upper 60s.

Mother's Day: Another system will bring scattered rain showers for Mother's Day. It'll be mostly cloudy and cool with highs in the low 60s.
