Train hits car stuck on tracks in Miamisburg

UPDATE @ 2:21 a.m.:

The CSX train that hit an unattended Nissan sedan stuck on the tracks at Linden and Riverview avenues in Miamisburg Friday night has left the area.

Linden Avenue was shut down for at least three hours while police remained on the scene.

FIRST REPORT:

No one was believed to be hurt after a train struck a car Friday night that was stuck on railroad tracks.

The car was hit by a CSX train just after 11:30 p.m. in the area of Linden and Riverview avenues in Miamisburg.

A motorist driving an SUV tried to push the Nissan off the tracks, but was unsuccessful, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

The car was not occupied, and it’s not clear where the occupants went.
