Tree tower reopens at Cox Arboretum

The 65-foot-tall tree tower reopened today at Cox Arboretum MetroPark.

The tower closed in fall 2016 after soft spots were found in the tower’s three wooden logs, which are the central support structure for the tower, according to the park system.

Five Rivers MetroParks’ board of park commissioners approved $390,000 in repairs in June 2017.

Repairs involved disassembling and rebuilding the tower, located at Cox Arboretum, 6733 Springboro Pike in Miami Twp.
