City officials are seeking more vendors and to attract more potential buyers.

Lewis said some of the vendors that participate in the market were directly hit by the tornado.
Past vendors have included artists and those who sell food, jewelry, make-up and other local items. The finalized list of vendors will be available at the end of July.
“We encourage local vendors and entrepreneurs to participate in the community market,” Lewis said.
The fee for market season is $50 for a 10 x 10 space for a non-food vendor and $35 for a food vendor.
“Because Trotwood is in a food desert, we want to encourage more food vendors to participate,” Lewis said. “Thus, this is an attempt to bring more local produce/food vendors to our citizens in a location that is in walking distance for many.”
The new option this year is a pop-up segment for those vendors who only wish to participate as a pop up for one Saturday at a flat rate of $20 for a non-food vendor and $10 for a food vendor.
Pop-ups are at a first-come, first-served basis.

The market is free to attend, but the vendors will sell their products to those in attendance who wish to buy.
The community market will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays from Aug. 3 until Sept. 28 at Center Point Plaza on East Main Street.
The last weekend, the city will hold its family reunion — “Smoke, Sizzle, & Sounds BBQ Contest” — with activities that include bounce houses for children, games, live music and entertainment for family-friendly fun.
The reunion will be held at Madison Park on South Broadway Street the weekend of Sept. 27. Fireworks, which were postponed the Fourth of July, will be presented then.
Vendors that would like to register have a deadline of July 26. Registration can be found on the city's website or by contacting Lewis at 937-854-7228.
Residents and vendors with questions about the community market or family reunion can contact Lewis.
