State law requires that law enforcement agencies announce times and locations of checkpoints ahead of time.

Montgomery Couny OVI Task Force Coordinator Carlene Maynes said there will be various hours of saturation patrols throughout Montgomery County for the months of August and September, including the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign that ends Sept. 2.

In the announcement, Trotwood police asked the public to help prevent drunk driving. “Help us keep the roadways safe for everyone by not drinking and driving or choosing a designated driver!” it said.
