VANDALIA — The Vandalia Division of Fire is seeking individuals for the position of part time firefighter, firefighter-EMT, and firefighter-paramedic.

Candidates must meet the following requirements, among others:

• Ohio Firefighter Level I or Level II

• Ohio EMT, EMT-I or Paramedic

• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) preferred

• Valid Ohio Driver’s License

Part-time staff handles a variety of duties related to emergency medical response and fire prevention, suppression, and safety. These include inspection of designated structures, regular mandatory training, emergency responses, and community fire safety and prevention education. Part-time staff is assigned with other full and part-time staff to work varied 24-hour shifts.
