Vehicle smashes its way into Techmetals Inc. building in Dayton

Techmetals Inc. in Dayton how has a hole in its wall after a vehicle smashed through a block wall.

The driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed into the wall of the business and will be cited for failure to control, Dayton police said.

Police say he was not impaired and it was unclear why he lost control. The driver’s vehicle was towed.

The crash occurred at 10:40 p.m. at North Findlay and East First streets, near the back of the business, which is located at 345 Springfield Street.

No property inside the business was damaged, which makes engineered metal finishing and performance coatings.
