Overnight: A few areas of patchy, dense fog are likely, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Otherwise, temperatures will fall to the lower to middle 30s. Watch for a few isolated slick spots due to lower temperatures overnight in areas where fog has formed.

Saturday: Areas of dense fog early will give way to cloudy skies. A nice start to the weekend is in store with highs in the mid-50s. Clouds increase as the next storm system approaches. Showers will arrive Saturday night, mainly late. It remains mild overnight with low temperatures in the lower 50s.

Sunday: It will be wet and windy with rain. Moderate to heavy downpours at times are possible, as are gusts up to 30 to 40 mph. It remains abnormally warm with temperatures reaching the lower 60s. Showers taper off overnight. Rainfall estimates are between 1 and 2 inches.

Monday: A cooler day is in store with a slight chance of a few passing rain showers in the morning, then it becomes mostly cloudy. Highs will reach the middle 40s early, then fall. A few flurries are possible late day, mainly north. Wind gusts up to 30 mph are possible.

New Year's Eve: Winter weather returns to end 2019. It will be blustery and colder with highs in the middle to upper 30s. Wind chills will be in the 20s throughout the day. Skies will be cloudy to mostly cloudy with a few flurries or light snow showers possible.
New Year's Day: Mostly sunny skies with breezy and chilly conditions are expected. Temperatures will climb back above normal for the first day of 2020 with highs in the lower 40s.
