DETAILED FORECAST
Overnight: Partly cloudy skies and mild weather is in the forecast overnight, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Temperatures will drop into the middle 60s by morning.

Tuesday: Expect partly cloudy skies and higher temperatures. There will be an increasing threat for showers and storms later in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the lower 80s.
Wednesday: Scattered showers and storms will be likely across the area, especially through early afternoon. A few stronger storms cannot be ruled out.
Thursday: Clouds will decrease with temperatures on the increase. Highs will climb into the upper 80s with a heat index rising in to the 90s.

Friday: Lots of sunshine will end the week but it will be quite hot and humid. Highs will soar into the lower 90s with a heat index nearing 100 degrees.

Saturday: Hot weather will start the weekend with temperatures reaching into the middle 90s and a heat index topping 100 degrees at times. There is a slight chance a thunderstorm could spark in the afternoon heat.
