Warren County group rescues 111 poodles from reported hoarder

The Humane Society of Warren County is caring for 111 poodles rescued from a suspected local hoarder, according to reports on the society's Facebook page.

“We’ve got our work cut out for us,” Joanne Hurley, director of the animal shelter in Lebanon.

The reports began on Monday as the dogs were removed from where they had been living and continued into Tuesday. The dogs are known as the “Lucky 111.”

“We need your support more than ever,” Hurley said in videos calling for volunteers and donations.

The shelter was closed Tuesday, while the shelter staff and volunteers, including students from the Warren County Veterinary Science program.

The dogs will be available for adoption, once their medical conditions have been stabilized.

“This is going to be a few weeks in the making,” Hurley said in an update Tuesday morning.
