Miamisburg Boil Advisory lifted after water main break repaired

The Boil Advisory that was issued for a section of Miamisburg has been lifted, Giles said.

UPDATE @ 12 p.m. (August 30):

The Boil Water Advisory in effect for a section of Miamisburg will continue until at least early Saturday morning, Public Information Officer Gary Giles said.

Water service was restored late Thursday to about 1,400 homes that were affected by the water main break.

Residents in the area should boil water used for drinking, cooking or oral hygiene for at least one minute.

FIRST REPORT:

A water main break has been reported near the corner of Gebhart Church Road and King Richard Parkway, according to the City of Miamisburg.

Crews are on scene working to fix the issue at this time.

Some residents have reported a loss of water service or pressure due to this incident.

A Boil Advisory is likely to be issued later today for those affected.
