The prosecutor said his office could not be involved in the inquiry about Ramey because of a conflict of interest. He said his office works closely with Dayton Children's and Michael's House, a Fairborn-based nonprofit organization that provides treatment and works as a liaison for children who may be victims of crime.
A Beavercreek police report shows officers went to Ramey’s home July 31 but does not give a reason for the visit. Police would not provide a reason for the visit when asked this week.
Ramey’s last day working at Dayton Children’s Hospital was Aug. 16, hospital officials said. His state license to practice psychology remains active.

This news organization has asked the hospital to provide more details, including the reason why Ramey, who started at Dayton Children’s in 1979, left and whether he resigned or was let go.
When asked whether an investigation is underway, Steve Irwin, a spokesman for Ohio AG David Yost, cited the office’s policy “not to comment on open investigations or the potential for open investigations.”
When asked whether the FBI was involved in the police response on July 31, FBI Spokesman Todd Lindgren said “As a matter of policy, we can’t confirm or deny the existence of a potential investigation.”
Ramey wrote a column for the Dayton Daily News until July when he notified this news organization he would no longer be submitting a column for publication. Attempts to reach Ramey for comment on this article were not successful.
