West Carrollton is gearing up for its community-wide garage sale next month.

Residents have until 4 p.m. May 3 to have their addresses included in the May 6 event. They are asked to call (937) 847-4633 by the deadline to have their address included on the list.

A list of addresses will be printed on the city’s website at www.westcarrollton.org and posted in the West Carrollton Civic Center by May 4.

Garage sale signs do not require a permit, but the signs may not be placed in the right-of-way. Other than the city-wide event, residents are permitted to have two garage sales per year. Residents are required to register those additional sales with the planning and building department. Call (937) 859-5184 for more information.

May 8-13 the city will conduct large-item trash collection on regular days.

Appliances should have the doors removed from the hinges. Carpet and brush should be cut in 3-4 feet lengths and bundled. Call (937) 859-8280 for more information.
