The water main valves that serve customers on Middle Run, Haines, Wilmington Dayton, Social Row and Elm Tree roads will be replaced and under construction starting at 8 a.m. and water will be shut off by 8:30 a.m.

Restoration and construction is expected to be complete by Aug. 14, weather permitting.

The area will be under a boil advisory for the duration of the repairs, which will be in effect until samples indicate the water is not contaminated.

While there is little chance of contamination, the advisory is for precautionary measure and the Ohio EPA also recommends advisories whenever there’s a loss of pressure in the system.

Residents should boil any water for use in drinking and cooking for one minute before use, but there’s no harm in bathing or washing clothes in the water.
