RELATED: Xenia woman accused in shooting arrested
Dixon is suspected of shooting 28-year-old Andre Nooks the early morning of May 5, 2018, at a home in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue. Nooks was initially transported in critical condition to Miami Valley Hospital, where he later died.
Xenia officers responded to the home on a shots fired call around 1:30 a.m. The responding officers found Nooks lying on the edge of the driveway bleeding from a gunshot wound to the neck, according to the statement of facts provided by Xenia Detective Matt Miller.
Several people were interviewed by police, and at least one witness reported seeing Dixon shoot the victim, according to Miller’s statement.
Miller also spoke to the victim while he was at Miami Valley. Nooks confirmed that Dixon was the person who shot him by moving his head up and down, according to Miller’s statement.
During the initial investigation after the shooting, police said the incident was preceded by an altercation that happened earlier in the night at the Round Table Bar, 306 Home Ave.
