Orrender, 36, appeared before Judge Michael Tucker on Wednesday morning for her sentencing. In April, detectives confiscated 17 pit bulls from her house.
Investigators said Orrender also cut the ears off a 5-week-old puppy using scissors. Police said they also found a treadmill with paw prints on it and blood spatters on the walls.
In September, Orrender entered a plea deal to four felony counts of dogfighting and one misdemeanor count of practicing veterinary medicine without a license.
In January 2010, Orrender's pit pulls got loose and attacked an officer and two men. According to court documents, she pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor counts of failing to license and register her dogs last year.
