Construction has started on a new restaurant at Austin Landing.

Work is underway for the Buffalo Wild Wings between Kohl’s and Kroger near the Ohio 741 entrance of the 142-acre mixed-use development in Miami Twp.

Construction for the restaurant on a 2.3-acre lot between Kohl’s and Kroger near the Ohio 741 entrance was delayed last year until this spring due to “reorganization issues,” said Larry Dillin, president of VisCap Development, which oversees Austin Landing.

The projected opening date for the new restaurant is Sept. 1, a Buffalo Wild Wings official said. Officials have said the Springboro location will close when the new site opens.

Last year, Miami Twp. approved plans for a 6,657 square foot restaurant to include 970 square feet of outdoor patio space. It would be Austin Landing’s first dining establishment north of Kohl’s, catering primarily to those staying in the complex’s hotels or apartments, Dillin has said.
