‘Everything is gone,’ man says after fire heavily damages Middletown home

A fire heavily damaged a cottage in the back of a home Saturday afternoon on Winona Drive.

Kevin Jordan, who works at McDonald’s on Verity Parkway, left the residence at about 2 p.m. for work.

He received a call about 3:40 p.m that his home was on fire.

Jordan has lived at the residence behind his mother's home for about 25 years.

“Everything is gone,” he said.

A Middletown fire captain said fire investigators have been called to determine the cause.

There were no injuries.
