News Center 7’s Mike Campbell interviewed Andy Kramer who received a text from his wife from the reported active shooter scene saying, “I love you, please take care of the girls.” Kramer was later relieved to find the all clear was given and his wife was safe. He stated his wife has trained for situations like this and was able to barricade herself in a WPAFB office.

Our first priority in any emergency incident is to protect the men and women at Wright-Patt. Our base security forces defenders and fire department personnel are trained to quickly assess situations and take necessary action. An investigation is under way.
