“I wish the Klan would come out here, see thousands of us standing out here, turn around and walk away,” he said.

Burke was injured by car in Charlottesville, when a white nationalist drove into a crowd of counter protesters, killing an Ohio woman. Burke suffered brain damage and had concussion and memory problems.
Burke said he thinks the city of Dayton has done a pretty effective job with the setup. He said he wishes they shared more info about the safety precautions so counter protesters could plan better.

He said he’s not worried about a car being used as a weapon here because of numerous barricades.
“We’ve taken a lot of steps to make sure that doesn’t happen again,” he said, referencing Charlottesville
He said he should be worried but he’s not because they’ve planned for months for this.
Burke said he hopes not to see police retaliation or lots of arrests.
“We’re definitely going to be loud enough that they are not going to be able to get their message out,” he said. "We’re going to win today and defeat their message.”
