Yellow Springs Police Chief Brian Carlson said in an interview this morning he could not say how much longer his department will be investigating the allegations.

Carlson said it’s not clear from the people making the allegations whether the alleged offenses happened at the high school.

Carlson said he could not say how many students are involved.

"There are a lot of factors and variables and when there's an active investigation, we can't speculate,” he said. “That can harm people because the information can be wrong."

This news organization has requested public records from Yellow Springs police in an effort to learn more about the investigation.

The news comes in a week in which students are off for spring break.
