Juan Barquero, 57, of Davie, was charged with of attempted murder, aggravated assault and shooting into a vehicle, the newspaper reported, citing an arrest report from the Davie Police Department.
According to police, Barquero allegedly threatened the "repo men" as they prepared to drive off with his black 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-350, the Sun-Sentinel reported. The men raised their hands as Barquero allegedly ordered them "to lower his car," according to the arrest report.
When the men jumped into the tow truck, Barquero fired seven shots -- six of which went through the vehicle's back window, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Neither man was hit, the newspaper reported.
“I felt one go behind my neck, the heat of the bullet,” said the man driving the tow truck, who declined to be identified. “I just put my head down and kept on driving.”
After driving a half-mile, the men called 911, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
