A store employee who declined to be named said a car pulled up to the side of the building and shot the victim in the head, then leaned over him and shot him three more times before leaving. The employee said no robbery was involved.
The Dollar General was closed, but is expected to be back open on Friday.
The gunshot victim’s condition was not immediately known.
The shooting remains under investigation, Trotwood police said.
