Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man suspected shooting another man in the leg Thursday evening at a Riverside gas station.

Riverside police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Devion L. Lovett. He was driving a 2016 blue Hyundai Elantra with Ohio license plate HYB 9311.

The shooting was reported around 6:30 p.m. at a gas station in the 2500 block of Valley Pike.

A 28-year-old gunshot victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Police also are trying to find an unidentified woman who was with Lovett in the passenger seat.

The shooting is still under investigation, but initial reports indicate that it was not a random crime or robbery. Lovett and victim are believed to know each other and were fighting before the shooting, police said.
