At about 4 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the 300 block of North Locust Street for a domestic violence complaint.
The alleged offender, Andrew Hubbard, 33, had fled on foot prior to the officers’ arrival and police were unable to locate him.
At about 8 a.m. the same morning, police were dispatched to the same address and were advised that Hubbard was inside the house and threatening to force officers to shoot him.
After officers arrived on scene, there were multiple attempts made to contact Hubbard by phone, but were unsuccessful. Because of the threat of a weapon, Butler County Regional SWAT team was called to the scene.
When SWAT approached the residence, Hubbard surrendered without incident and was taken into custody. He was taken to the Butler County Jail on domestic violence charges.

INITIAL REPORT, 10:15 a.m.:
A man is refusing to come out of his Oxford home after allegedly making threats, which led Oxford police to urge people to stay clear of North Locust Street.
The Butler County Regional SWAT is at the scene and police are trying to make contact with the man, according to Sgt. Jon Varley. There was a domestic incident at the residence Sunday night and the man returned this morning about 7:30 a.m.
Varley said the man’s wife and children are not at the home, but the man may have access to weapons and has made statements that he wants to hurt himself.
