Police confirmed Saturday that Jenifer was married to Chris Attoh, an actor and television host in Ghana, WRC reported. The couple married in October after Attoh's divorce from his first wife, the television station reported.
Attoh is best known for his role as Kwame Mensah in "Tinsel," a Nigerian television show, WTTG reported.
Sunday, police confirmed that Jenifer also was married to Kedrick Jenifer, 47, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for importing cocaine from Texas to Baltimore, WRC reported. Kedrick Jenifer pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges in 2015, according to WTTG.
According to court records, Kedrick Jenifer filed for a divorce on April 9, and Bettie Jenifer followed suit six days later, according to WRC.
“We’re casting a wide net, looking at any and all information that could possibly help us apprehend who did this,” Greenbelt Police Department spokesman George Mathews told reporters.
