The county will officially unveil the new program Friday.
The cards reportedly require no enrollment fees or forms, have no age or income requirements and include no medical condition restrictions.
One card covers the whole family and nearly all commonly prescribed medicine is covered.
Residents can pick up a card a the county administration building on West Third Street.
