Alabama man fatally stabbed at chicken plant, police say

An Alabama man was fatally stabbed after a fight at a chicken plant in Phenix City, authorities said.

Phenix City police were called to Alatrades Food after receiving a report of an altercation, WRBL reported. Authorities found a man with stab wounds to the upper body, the television station reported.

Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. identified the victim as Reggie Milner, 29, of Columbus, Georgia.

Witnesses told police that an argument between two men escalated into physical contact, WRBL reported.

Milner was taken to a hospital in Columbus and was pronounced dead in the emergency room, according to the television station.

The motive for the stabbing remains unknown, police said. According to WRBL, Eugene Holt Jr. 28, is in custody for questioning, WRBL reported.
