This driver did not have a ghost of a chance.

An Arizona state trooper pulled over and ticketed a driver who was driving illegally on a high-occupancy vehicle lane Thursday morning, officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety tweeted. The driver had a costumed skeleton sitting in the front seat, Public Safety officials said.

The 62-year-old driver also was cited for tinted window violations. The skeleton was sitting upright and was tied to the front seat.

"Think you can use the HOV lane with Skeletor riding shotgun? You're dead wrong!" the Department of Public safety tweeted.

Skeletor is a fictional villain whose enemy is He-Man in the "Masters of the Universe" comic series, NBC News reported.

In April 2019, an Arizona man was ticketed after driving in the HOV lane with a mannequin wearing a sweatshirt, baseball cap and sunglasses, The Associated Press reported.
