One-year-old Jason Darjee, of Glendale, had been removed from the custody of his parents by the Arizona Department of Child Safety and put in the care of his grandparents, KNXV reported. The child had been removed from the care of Jiten Darjee, 30, and Chhali Subba, 34, after DCS officials said they found the boy malnourished because the family was homeless and his parents were suspected of alcohol and drug abuse, the Arizona Republic reported.

Police said the toddler's parents took the boy from his grandparents' Glendale home, KNXV reported.
The couple told the grandparents they were allowed to have their son back, police told the Republic.
According to Glendale police, Jason Darjee was found safe in Phoenix late Friday night and his parents were taken into custody, KNXV reported.
