Rescue crews responded Sunday at 1:30 p.m. after receiving a call from a woman who authorities believe is related to the child, KNXV reported.
The mother of the baby was arrested, KTVK reported. Police did not identify the woman.
The girl was taken to an area hospital and was in stable condition, the television station reported.
Experts said with Sunday's high of 107 degrees in the Phoenix area, it would take 10 minutes for the temperature inside a car to reach 126 degrees, KNXV reported.
"Even a short amount of time, 10 to 15 minutes, could be something that could be very detrimental to a person - especially a small child. They don't have the same ability to cool themselves like we do," Phoenix Fire Capt. Jake Van Hook told the television station.
