“I’ve met my soulmate and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Chandler. We’ve been together for nearly 6 years now and he’s my happily ever after.”
Irwin's engagement ring features a laboratory-grown diamond and is made with recycled, rose gold metal, E! Online reported
Powell, a former wakeboarder, told People he met Irwin at the Australia Zoo while he was in the country to compete in an event.
"It just so happened that Bindi was giving tours that day," Powell told the magazine. "I'm like, 'Wow, she is amazing.'"
Irwin was 8 when her father, crocodile hunter and conservationist Steve Irwin, was killed by a stingray during a television shoot in 2006, CNN reported.
