Long, 64, said he told his congregation at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Dekalb County, Georgia, that he planned to live to be at least 100 years old by dispensing with a "slave menu."
"I wasn’t going to get (to age 100) by stopping by Popeye's. That was my weakness," he said. "The biscuits with honey and chicken wings, spicy."
He chided people eating from what he called a "slave menu," saying eating raw vegetables instead has given him more energy and lowered his blood pressure. He has lost weight and said he no longer has to take blood pressure medication.
"I'm somewhat of a vegan ... Never thought I'd do this, but I am ... I want health. I'm on the medicine that God gave you to feed your immune system to build you up," he says in the clip. "You know what, if you really want to move through this world and have influence you gotta be spiritual and you have to walk by His commandments and you have to be healthy."
Long also noted his new wellness webinar.
