Roswell police are looking for thieves who they say cut a hole to get into a vault to clean out a jewelry store.

The owner of Jason Guven Jewelry said the burglars spent hours inside the store on Holcomb Bridge Road last Monday, methodically taking almost every piece of valuable jewelry he had.

"We saw the displays on the floor. There was a hole in the vault. We were in shock," the owner said.

"When I arrived here, the keypad had no power. I noticed something was up. The lights were on,” the owner said.

Roswell police say it was a jewelry heist right out of “Mission Impossible.”

“A few subjects climbed the back of the building, gained entry through the roof and dropped down right in front of the safe,” said Sean Thompson, with the Roswell Police Department.

Police have released surveillance pictures of the burglars.

Officials said the thieves burrowed their way into a safe full of expensive jewelry.

“Cut through cinder block and rebar and crawled into the safe,” Thompson said.

The owner said the crew spent at least eight hours undetected in the store after cutting alarm lines to steal millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry.

“Very expensive watches, Rolex, many loose diamonds with certifications. Literally, all the engagement sets we had,” the owner said.

"This is what we call a professional crew,” Thompson said. “It seems like they came and inspected this store many times."

Police said their detectives are still interviewing the owners and anyone else who might have information that could help identify the people involved.
