Connecticut man pulled over for speeding spits on arresting officer, authorities say

A Connecticut man who was pulled over for speeding Friday spit on arresting officers, authorities said.

South Windsor police pulled over Shaun Congdon, 26, for speeding around 9:41 p.m. and soon learned Congdon had a warrant for failing to appear at a court hearing, authorities said.

Congdon was taken into custody and while he was being transported, he spit on the arresting officer, authorities said. He was also uncooperative during the booking process, authorities said.

Cogndon was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer, assault on a public safety officer and the warrant for failure to appear, WTIC reported.

He was released on $16,000 bond.
