Pennsylvania State Police said a Mercury Marauder was traveling east in Connoquenessing Township when it hit a deer, WPXI reported. Police said the car was driven by Anthony McCoppin, 53, of Blawnox, WJW reported. McCoppin was not hurt.

The deer went airborne and into the windshield of a Saturn Vue driven by Michael Modjallal, 73, of Akron, Ohio, the television station reported. A passenger in the SUV, Lucia Modjallal, 70, of Akron, was hospitalized with injuries, WJW reported.
“The deer was propelled into the westbound lane and went through the windshield of the other vehicle,” police Cpl. Greg Bogan said.
