Delta caps fares for flights from cities in path of Hurricane Florence

Delta Air Lines said it is capping air fares for flights from certain cities in the path of Hurricane Florence.

Delta said through Sept. 16, the fare cap is $299 each way in coach class for flights to Atlanta from coastal cities in GeorgiaSouth CarolinaNorth Carolina and Virginia. Some fares may be less.

The fare caps for flights from inland cities such as Raleigh-Durham are higher, up to $599 each way for coach class to the West Coast.

Delta is warning travelers that flights may be disrupted by the hurricane, and is allowing travelers with flights already booked to, from or through affected cities to change their travel plans without paying certain change fees.

The change fee waiver applies to flights to, from or through Savannah, Charleston and Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Fayetteville, Greensboro, Jacksonville, New Bern, Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington, N.C.; Norfolk, Newport News and Richmond, Va.
