Tommy Hardy, 15, no longer saw his wheelchair; instead, he saw himself behind the cockpit piloting an Air Force fighter jet.
For the past month, Tommy's dad and friends put in nearly 100 hours of work, using parts from around the garage to create his Halloween costume, Boston25News reported. Tommy's grandparents were both in the Air Force and both passed away this year.
Tommy is living with autism and is nonverbal, but his dad told Boston25News that he's your typical teenager who loves Halloween and getting attention.
In year's past, Tommy has been an X-wing fighter from "Star Wars," rode one of the dragons from "Game of Thrones," and last year stopped traffic in a police car.
