Officials described the woman, known as “Jane Doe 37,” as white with brown hair. In video footage obtained by authorities, she wore dark-framed glasses.

Authorities began investigating the woman in June 2014, after she was seen in videos brought to the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Data embedded in the files showed the videos were produced in April 2012, according to FBI officials. Authorities noted that audio from the 1988 animated film "The Land Before Time" could be heard in the background of the videos.

“Due to the age of the images, it is possible that the individual’s appearance may have changed over the years,” FBI officials said in a news release.

People with information on the woman’s identity were asked to contact an FBI Crimes Against Children investigator at their local FBI offices or to speak with authorities at their nearest American Embassy or U.S. Consulate. People can also submit tips online or call the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
